About Us
The Skewer House is a family owned restaurant situated in the historic town of Rochford in Essex. We specialise in the traditional Portuguese dish Espetada. The Espetada is a typical dish made from beef skewered onto a bay leaf stick cooked over hot coals or wood chips.

2nd time we have been here and food was absolutely lovely again, service was good to. If you want to try something a bit different to the normal restaurants this is the place to go. Great portion size, good service, friendly staff and all with a little rustic feel. We will be going again

Lovely food,explanations given with queries about sauces etc nothing too much trouble. Very good value for money; cakes,deserts VERY nice 😀 welcoming food fire, nice and light and airy .will def go back again lunchtime and look forward to trying the evening menu.

My daughter booked a table on Monday night (20/11/17) as she had been raving about the Skewer House. Very quaint little restaurant, service is very good and to top it all lovely staff. The food was absolutely amazing, lamb, prawn & lobster skewers the portions are enormous, sides & flat breads are ample we tried the house special and we came out of there stuffed. We even had a little take home box. Will I be returning again yes most definitely we had a lovely enjoyable evening , great company, good food, great music and lovely ambience 👌 perfect for a Monday evening.
